Yosemite Natl. Park, CA - Born with Spina Bifida, 14-year old Chad Fallentine of Oakdale, CA set a personal goal to climb Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. The 18-mile hike is considered one of the most strenuous in the park. "I want to encourage kids who have disabilities to do more than they think they can do - to try to make the best out of life." Since birth, Chad's Spina Bifida condition has left him paralyzed in his legs below the knees. Chad and his support team reached the summit in 9 hours.
